RUNE OF THE MONTH: Ansuz

Thurisaz "compromise". The dictionary defines compromise as "a settlement of differences by mutual concessions; an agreement reached by adjustment of conflicting or opposing claims, principles, etc…., by reciprocal modifications of demands." To compromise requires flexibility. As we value our own needs as well as respect those of another, we find a middle ground that can be satisfactory for both, without betraying our true beliefs. When we compromise without loosing our integrity, we open ourselves to new possibilities. We step out of the box of our mind and its rigid rules and allow the unknown to unravel from our hearts.

Jupiter is still retrograde this whole month until December 25, between 8º44' and 5º01' Taurus.

These 4 degrees are symbolized in the Sabian Symbols by: "Cantilever bridge across a deep gorge", "The woman of Samaria at the ancestral well", "A sleigh on land uncovered by snow", and "A fully decorated Christmas tree". Jupiter in Taurus asks us to have a practical approach to material resources and apply our philosophical ideas to our daily lives. It also reveals how we can multiply our income and create more abundance for ourselves. The advantage of a cantilever bridge is that it only needs to be supported on one end. And the woman of Samaria who lived from her heart and was thus rejected by society for having been married several times before living out of wedlock, was also the one in the Bible, Christ chose to reveal his true identity to, offering her the living waters of spirit thanks to which she would never again be thirsty. As we live in integrity with our heart's desires, and celebrate the sacredness of life, any possible hardship won't be a challenge and will be met with grace. Even if it seems that we have little support, and have to cross the void, we shall reach safely the other side. These degrees suggest that if we follow our heart, money will come to us.

Uranus is still retrograde until December 9 between 2º22' and 1º17' Aries.

These 2 degrees are represented in the Sabian Symbols by the following images: "A comedian reveals human nature" and "The cameo profile of a man, suggesting the shape of his country." Uranus in Aries is prompting us to become free to be all that we are. This month, we are asked to really look at ourselves and transform what within us is keeping us from our highest destiny. We also need to be clear as to what we identify with. What we focus on, we become.

Neptune continues to be retrograde this whole month until November 9. This month it travels from 28º33' to 28º09' Aquarius.

The Sabian symbols associate the following images to this degree: "A butterfly emerging from a chrysalis." Neptune in Aquarius shows us the way to psychic awareness, brings genuine premonitions and eventually leads us to spiritual enlightenment. This month, we are very clearly transforming at a deep level. As we leave the heavy energies and baser instincts, we become ready to embrace our divine destiny.

Our Intentional Meditation

Our intentional meditation begins on Tuesday 10/11.

Take out as many blank sheets as you will have intentions, and place them out (on a balcony, near a window or in a garden) to be charged by the Full Moon in Aries at exactly 7:06 PM. Once that moment has passed, gather your sheets and place them in a folder until the next New Moon in Scorpio on Wednesday 10/26. Same procedure as above, take out your blank full moon charged papers and write on each a concise, positive intention. Place them on a balcony, in a garden or near a window at exactly 12:56 PM. Once that moment has passed, staple them together and put them away in a folder expecting the manifestation of all your dreams…

Willfulness, recklessness, carelessness, extravagance, impatience and temper could wreck our plans today. Not a good day for business, romance, travel nor the signing of legal papers. Important to observe tolerance and discretion at all costs.

Thursday 10/6: Mercury Conjunct Saturn (3:01 PM)

A day for retreat, silence, and solitude. Focusing on detailed, methodical work furthers our goals. Public appearances are not favored. Pessimism could make us more susceptible to criticism than is healthy.

Our optimism could make us count on more than we can sensibly expect. Business and/or legalities could be costlier than necessary. Speaking our mind too frankly may complicate situations that would be best left alone.
