2024 Chinese Year of the Wood Dragon

On Saturday February 10, 2024 we entered the Chinese year of the Wood Dragon. This powerful, mythical animal will reign until January 28, 2025.

Typically, this year brings great changes and major opportunities. Goodwill abounds, we feel more sociable, confident, ambitious, and resilient.

Potentially explosive situations are likely to be turned around. A general consensus to back away from aggression, adversity, hate, and conflicts leads to very real diplomatic efforts which have the potential to resolve major world conflicts. Discussions could be convoluted, but they center around the very real wish to reestablish peace and balance. The time has come for visionary, spiritual leaders in positions of authority who are perspicacious, open-minded, and inspiring, who see the bigger picture, and prevent the worse from happening.

Truth prevails. The corruption of large institutions is exposed in a glaring light. We are able to finally see clearly through situations that were misleading, deceitful, as well as purposely blurry and confusing. Stress is alleviated through deep philosophical concepts, light-hearted logic, and synthesized abstract notions.

A climate of social cooperation reigns. Unlikely to back off from duty and responsibilities once we have accepted them, we are also happy to benevolently assist others whenever called upon.

As long as we avoid bigotry, self-doubt, self-defeating, or self-sabotaging behaviors, are not selfish or arrogant, and do not worry excessively -which would compromise our ability to make decisions, causing stagnation, frustration, and anger-, we have the power to turn our life around for the better. It is a year to believe in ourselves, trust our intuition, focus on kindness and compassion, have high standards of excellence, be loyal, generous, and noble. Our introspective thinking, thirst for knowledge, and wisdom inspire deep reflections which in turn provide the solid foundation to achieve anything we set our mind on.

We are unlikely to be bored this year! Our freedom-loving, warm, and even festive attitude inspires us to seek a relaxed lifestyle, filled with varied artistic activities (painting, sculpting, acting, writing, decorating…). Spending time taking care of our plants is also encouraged.

This is a great year for starting a new business, developing our existing career, and make big decisions that will affect many years to come.

The year of the Wood Dragon promises much good fortune and abundance to those who seek the Truth, who, over conflict, choose diplomacy, communication, and negotiations, and promote peace.

Wishing you the best Chinese New Year ever!

In Loving Light.
