Solar Eclipse in Aries April 8, 2024

April 8, Total Solar Eclipse in Aries

The April 8 “Great North-American Solar Eclipse” in Aries (19º24’)  is particularly rare and significant. Crossing 15 states from Texas to Maine, it travels along an almost opposite path to the August 21, 2017 “Great American Eclipse”  in Leo (29º) which went from Oregon to South Carolina through 14 states. Its journey will be quite striking because of the darkness it will cast at midday. If we draw both their trajectories over the US territory, together they form a virtual X. What does this mean? What can we expect? This is what we shall find it here today.

5 planets including Chiron in Aries are clearly stating: “Out with the old. In with the new!”. This eclipse is particularly explosive leading to completely new beginnings.

On a global level, the time for diplomatic talks is over. Patience has run its course, tact is out the window, and fists bang on the table. A brand-new collective chapter is opening. The agenda now is dauntless courage, bold initiatives, and dynamic actions.

On a personal level, our pioneering spirit will awaken and, disregarding potential dangers, we won’t be afraid to take risks. Unconcerned with possible future adverse consequences, we shall think quickly and without hesitation. Feeling that projecting a successful image ensures success, we shall make spontaneous, impetuous, headstrong, decisive, and audacious decisions. It will be essential that we express our true self with authenticity, and demonstrate confidence, self-reliance, as well as self-sufficiency. Thinking before acting may not be our strongest suit, but if we can control our impatience and foolhardiness, we shall see our innovative, daring endeavors to the finish line.

An unexpected financial gain, a sudden benefit, and/or a new person are catalysts to our true destiny. This eclipse intensifies our ability to forge our own journey in life. Leaving old inhibitions behind, correcting a past mistake, giving up a habit that no longer serves us or holds us back, overcoming practical problems with calculated efforts, and setting goals to accomplish what we really want, enable us to express our full potential. Harnessing our own power isn’t just self-serving, it also has a transformative influence on others around us.

Our intuition proves a powerful compass. Subconsciously aware of the prevailing conditions, we can use them to our advantage. Inasmuch as we act in alignment with the greater good, self-created -or perceived, limitations are outgrown by following our heart. Even if our capacity to sense other people’s thoughts, our understanding of their pain, and the memory of past rejections make us hesitant to express our real needs and induces us to look after our loved ones at our own expense, we should not allow our sensitivity, compassion, and caring abilities to  prevent us from taking care of ourselves. If this requires that we momentarily withdraw from the world to find within the resources necessary to resolve the problems at hand, so be it!

We could find it difficult to accept rules and discipline that we did not choose and are likely to rapidly change our mind. Our temper may flare up quickly, people could be direct and aggressive, and idle chatter tends to interfere with our efficiency, yet, an emotional need for freedom and independence, pure feelings, and a sincere enthusiasm push us forward.

This eclipse won’t allow us to go back to old ways. It brings powerfully dynamic beginnings the far-reaching effects of which will shift the way we perceive life both on a personal and a collective level. It opens a new book in our own, as well as humanity’s, destiny, highly beneficial if we manage to use the circumstances it uncovers with courage, consciousness and integrity.

Wishing you a powerful eclipse day!

In Loving Light.
