October 14, 2023 Solar Eclipse in Libra
On Saturday October 14, 2023, at 10:55 AM PDT, we shall witness an annular Solar Eclipse in Libra (21º05').
Eclipses are always incredibly important times of major changes in our lives. Their sign is important, but more important are the houses, or areas of life, they fall in in our natal chart which indicates where those changes will be taking place for us personally. Their influence affect up to 19 years of our lives. 5If your birthday happens to fall on an eclipse day, it announces a life-changing year. This eclipse will be followed on Saturday October 28 by a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus (5º09' Taurus).
Our relationship needs come to the forefront. We seek beauty, harmony, peace, and balance, and wish to enjoy quality time with our loved ones.
However, our ability to sense their thoughts and feelings, could make it difficult to trust people. Emotional pressure and high levels of moral responsibility could leave us feeling out of place, unloved, and exhausted. Easily influenced by others, and over-receptive to their reactions, it is important that we do not rely on them for our emotional safety, learn to set healthy boundaries, and are not afraid to say "no".
Having lost sight of our own strengths, plagued by insecurities, and unsure of ourselves, we could be indecisive, scattered, and lost, even completely detached from the world. The confrontation with difficult circumstances, inconsistencies, and conflicting information, project us in a space that feels unreal. Even if our circumstances are ideal, we could still be plagued by a vague foreboding sense that fills us with anxiety.
Books are of little use at this time. We are required to tap in our own life experience, and become conscious of self-defeating behaviors. Dwelling in the past is not supported by this eclipse. The time has come to learn from our mistakes, build our negotiation skills, let go of hurts, grudges and resentments, forgive, and forget.
Because our own wounds enable us to understand so deeply the painful side of life, we seek an alternative path to understand what is really going on in the world thanks to which we can help others make sense of the surrounding insanity. We are encouraged to intuitively find what we really wish to do, makes adjustments in our lives to indulge ourselves, and express our real potential so that our true self may grow, flourish, and shine. Allowing ourselves extra time to start new projects that free our inner artist, opens unexpected doors. Finding the courage to embrace the new people and exciting opportunities that arise enables us to move towards our highest destiny.
Inasmuch as we take care of our own personal needs, develop a strong value system, are practical in our approach of love, seek meaningful, reliable connexions, and demonstrate gratitude, compassion, patience, loyalty, and maturity, we can accomplish great things in collaboration with those who truly appreciate our gifts and enrich our efforts. The key is finding the balance between a healthy sense of self and our need for warm, loving relationships.
