RUNE OF THE MONTH:. Kenaz, the torch. The light bulb of great ideas is ignited. What shall we do with our ideas? Light is shed on something that was previously hidden. Truths are being revealed. A month to be in integrity with ourselves and others, to allow the light in and reach enlightenment.

Mercury turns retrograde on Saturday June 7 between 3º10’ Cancer and 24º25’ Gemini. Its shadow period will remain until July 16. Family matters are likely to come to the surface. We could become more concerned with our roots, ancestors, children, home, as well as issues related to safety, security and comfort. Short travels, communication, curiosity could also come to the forefront. A period of time when we could become more forgetful, and when misunderstandings could occur. Best to avoid installing new software, buying electronic equipment and traveling to faraway places unless we have been there before. Magical however for reconnecting with lost friends and revisiting places we hadn’t seen in a while.
Saturn remains retrograde this whole month until July 20th, 2014. Its shadow period extends until October 27th, 2014. The degrees it travels in May (18º27’-16º58’ Scorpio) are represented in the Sabian Symbols by “a parrot listening and then talking, repeats a conversation he has overheard”, “A path through woods rich in autumn coloring”, “a woman, filled with her own spirit, is the father of her own child”. We continue being confronted with authority. Do we believe in our own authority or do we blindly follow outside, corrupted rules? Two paths are offering themselves to us: the path of just repeating what the media are drilling into our heads or the path of magic, choosing the knowingness that no matter how strange things are, miracles happen when the masculine and the feminine within become married and we become one with ourselves.
Neptune turns retrograde on Monday June 9 until November 15 between 7º36’ and 7º29’ Pisces. Its shadow period lasts until January 2015. The degree it travels this month is symbolized by the following image: “A girl blowing a bugle”. A month of profound awakening. The veils are thinning more than usual giving us access to dimensions we previously weren’t aware of. The power of sound, words and music support and guide us more deeply than ever.
Pluto continues being retrograde this whole month until September 23. Its shadow period will last until January 2015. This month, it travels from 13º03’ to 12º23’ Capricorn. These degrees are symbolized in the Sabian Symbols by the following images: “An ancient bas-relief carved in granite remains a witness to a long forgotten culture” and “a fire worshipper meditates on the ultimate realities of existence.” Recent archeological discoveries are helping us realize that our past is very different from what we have been told it was, leading us to a deeper understanding of our truest reality. We are being brought to face the deepest core of who we are really are.

Our intentional meditation starts on Thursday 6/12. Place as many blank sheets as you will have intentions out to be charged by the Full Moon in Sagittarius at exactly 9:11 PM (you can put them out up to several hours prior to that time). Once that moment has passed (up to several hours later if necessary), put them away in a folder until the next New Moon.
On the New Moon in Cancer on Friday 6/27, take out your blank full moon charged papers and write on each a concise, positive intention. Place them on a balcony, in a garden or near a window so that they are out at exactly 1:08 AM. Once that moment has passed, staple them together and put them away in a folder expecting the manifestation of all your dreams…

Regarding the Full Moon, kindly refer to the Moon in Sagittarius paragraph as well as to the intentional meditation paragraph. Today, more specifically, could be a day of serious reflection with regard to our emotional commitments. We could feel the weight of aloneness or wonder if we are with the right partner. A day to take responsibility for our happiness, to change from within what doesn’t satisfy us in our relationships and thus initiate the changes that may be necessary for love and harmony to thrive.
Saturday 6/14: Mars Square Pluto (5:34 AM)
Long held anger, frustrations or resentments could emerge. Power games or manipulations could become apparent. Previously hidden oppositions could emerge in somewhat devious ways. Important to own our feelings, favor balanced compromises, and be as diplomatic and considerate of others as possible. Caution should be exercised when operating a motor vehicle or using sharp objects. Potentially violent situations should be avoided at all costs.
Tuesday 6/17: Mercury enters Gemini (3:05 AM till July 12)
During the next month, our curiosity is enhanced, short distance trips are favored, and lecturing, writing, as well as communicating are lighter. We feel younger and more sociable than usual.
Wednesday 6/18: Venus Sextile Jupiter (2:16 AM)
A day of positive social encounters. Our faith, spontaneity and openness to the world are at an all times high. Excesses in food, expenditures and pleasures should be watched as in our trust in life and our enthusiasm we could easily go overboard.
Thursday 6/19: Sun Conjunct Mercury (3:50 PM)
A day of clear focus and communication. Great for dealing with backlogged work, making phone calls and answering e-mails. We express our thoughts with clarity and are open to others.
Saturday 6/21: Sun enters Cancer (3:51 AM till July 22)
During the next month, our sensitivity is enhanced. So are family or ancestry matters, issues related to security and safety, artistic endeavors and anything concerning our home, land and food.
Monday 6/23: Venus enters Gemini (5:34 AM till July 18)
During the next month, we feel more sociable than usual. We relate to loved ones with more lightness. The limit between love and friendship is thinner. We could fall in love with an idea, a country or a culture that expands our consciousness of life.
Wednesday 6/25: Mars Opposition Uranus (1:25 AM)
A day to be cautious while operating a motor vehicle or using any sharp object. People could fly off the handle quite easily. Best to avoid potentially violent situations and to be careful not to project our anger or any suppressed emotional frustration onto another.
Sunday 6/29: Sun Trine Neptune (0:23 AM), Venus Square Neptune (12:31 PM)
We could feel quite dreamy today, illogical and ungrounded. Great for channeling, artistic inspiration and healing, but not so good for anything requiring focused attention to details. We could be in love with love and project a romantic ideal on an inappropriate person who later proves disappointing at best or downright deceptive. A day to take it easy, rest and meditate while remaining careful not to fall prey to spiritual imagination.
